We’re Loud Fest is a traveling festival dedicated to rock’n’roll, punk, and underground culture. In November 2025, it arrived in Kenya, marking the festival’s first edition on the African continent. Taking place across Nairobi, Lamu, and Kilifi, the festival brought together African and international bands in a celebration of independent music, DIY culture, and the raw energy of punk.
Featuring acts such as DEATH, the legendary proto-punk band from Detroit, THE MONSTERS, SEXFACES, and TWENTY ONE CHILDREN, alongside key names from Kenya’s own scene—including CRYSTAL AXIS, CHOVU, POWERSLIDE, and IRONY DESTROYED — We’re Loud Africa created a meeting point between different generations and punk communities from across the world.
More than a series of concerts, the festival aimed to strengthen Kenya’s local music scene and connect African artists with musicians from other parts of the world. The festival program also included skate jams, DJs, parties, and special events, embracing the spontaneous, independent, and community-driven spirit of punk.
